Today I did Long and Lean again and then followed it up with Yoga Flex by Kathy Smith’s Project: You type 2. Yoga flex is a quick yoga workout. It gets the kinks out and I felt really good afterwards. It starts with a cat stretch and then works into down dog and up dog/cobra. We then moved into lunges and prayer, triangle and then got on the floor for some hamstring work. I really needed that, my hamstrings are always so tight. We ended with corpse pose. The workout is about 25 minutes long and just a great way to end a cardio or strength training session.
Tomorrow starts One on One with Tony Horton. I really like these workouts. Tony makes things fun and he’s pretty goofy in these!

I think I am back on track. Still not great, but getting better every day. Today was Kathy Smith’s Project You Type 2’s Power Push and Pilates Core. This was a good combination of workouts. Power Push is a good cardio workout that lasts 30 mins. Pilates Core is a tough pilates workout that lasts about 25 mins. The pilates was tough. The roll-overs are hard, and the mermaid stretch at the end is a good way to cool down. It was a little funny to work out on the floor with our dog, Roxy licking me and Dawn in the face while we were trying to workout. So, we got a good ab workout with all the laughing too. It is always more fun when you have someone to work out with. It makes the time go by quicker. I have one more day of Kathy Smith and then I will be moving on to the next workout. I sure didn’t think it would take this long to get through, but I wasn’t planning on the flu.
I have gotten a lot of my Christmas shopping done, but still not completely done. I plan on getting the tree decorated tomorrow and starting on wrapping presents.
I am finally feeling better and taught my first piyo class today. It was good to do a workout today. Julie showed up and we made it through it. I’m so glad that she was patient with me and still felt like she got a good workout. I was sad that no one else showed up, but understand that this time of year is hard. Hopefully, we’ll have some more people next week.
I’m going to start up with where I left off with the workouts before I got sick. This flu really hangs around. I’m still tired and not feeling 100%, but I’m ready to get back to my workout routine.
I got some Christmas shopping done this weekend and that is good. We’ve started putting up the tree. My house is a complete mess, but I’ll finish it up tomorrow. Since we have moved, I’m having trouble finding all the decorations. Gonna be on the hunt first thing in the morning.
The kids came to eat dinner tonight and we had a good time chatting and eating good food. I love it when the kids are all here. We were missing Jake, but he is home safe and sound now. He went to OKC to drill with my brother for the weekend. He says he had a good time, but still isn’t sure what he plans to do with his life. He will graduate high school in January.
I’m off to bed for now, but will get a good workout in tomorrow. Kathy Smith’s Project You, Power Push and Pilates Core.
Unfortunely, I have got the flu. I am feeling better today. Not at 100% yet, but getting there – slowly. I didn’t get a workout in yesterday or today for that matter. I’m hoping that tomorrow I’ll feel up to doing more. I did do a little stretching, but nothing strenuous.
