Branson Family Fun

We had a fantastic weekend!  Normally, every year we go on a family vacation to the beach.  It’s our families favorite place and we love it! This year Caroline was making her appearance, Nick and Lauren were saving money and so we didn’t go to the beach.  BUT, we decided we needed some kind of family fun before school started ( yes, Madelyn starts kindergarten this year – how has this happened so fast??).  So we headed out to Branson.  I will be the first to admit, I’m not a Branson fan.  So many people, so much traffic, ugh!

Off we went and we all met up for some family fun.  We stayed at the Grand Country Inn.  I just knew the girls would love the indoor waterpark ( yes, we all burn easily in the Moritz family).  Not only did the girls have a blast, but we all got in on the fun!

That is Chase and Mads in the picture climbing that darned rope ladder!  I think that is what it is called?

Madelyn had me and Meredith climbing the rope ladder to go down the water slides, Meredith and I were surprised to discover that there were actual stairs and you don’t HAVE to use the rope ladder (Mads is such a stinker!)  I will admit that it was my first time to go down a water slide!  I loved it!  Morgan and Emma joined us on Saturday and Emma was a little skeptical at first, but then she was a waterpark pro!  I didn’t take any pictures because everything in the waterpark was wet.  I didn’t want to take a chance on ruining the phone!

There was also a little shopping,  a car show and some black light mini golf!   We even got to meet Tinkerbell!

But just because it is vacation doesn’t mean that I didn’t get my workout in.  Lauren and I got our pilates on in the hotel room!  Limited space, but we made it work!  I always travel with my shakeology too.  Brian and I stuck with our breakfast every day!

We had a great time and Madelyn decided that Branson is awesome and we should do it every year.  I asked her if she liked it more than the beach and she didn’t commit, but she said she thought we should do both!  I may need to get another job for that!

Have you have your summer vacation?   Where did you go?

It’s My Momma’s Day!

Today is my Momma’s birthday!  YAY!

Happy Birthday Mom!  Love you to the moon and back!

If you are lucky enough to have your Mom around, give her a big hug and kiss today!  Hopefully, I’ll get to see my Momma soon so we can celebrate her special day!

Yesterday was a crazy day, I got some work done in my office, got all my steps in, got my 21 Day Fix workocaroline kissesut done – but not all in one sitting, things were crazy at workout time and I had to do part of the workout and go back a couple of hours later and finish it up.  I also had a couple of phone calls and got to love on my sweet Caroline while Meredith and Madelyn went swimming. Highlight of my day!

I don’t know if you have heard and I am sure you are waiting on pins and needles to find out what the August Challenge Pack special is – well, wait no more.  I will help you out!  CIZE!  Shaun T has come up with a fun dance workout.  But, have no fear, you can do this workout even if you can’t dance!  I have done this workout a couple of times and really liked it.  It goes by fast and there was a LOT of laughing.  I have found that I am really uncoordinated, but I dance like no one is watching!  I NAILED the final move though!  Cize is on sale with a bag of Shakeology for $140.  People, this is getting the workout for $10!  What a deal!  Let me know if you want info or want to order it for yourself.  It certainly does NOT feel like working out!

Hey, if you can’t laugh at yourself…

I’ve been reading some good books.  I re-read To Kill a Mockingbird before I read Go Set a Watchman.  I always try to read some personal development and am almost finished with Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook and  am also reading The Best Yes with a reading group.  Now, don’t think I am totally insane, I read 10-15 minutes of my personal development every day and only 2 chapters per week for my reading group.  So I do more than just read, but Brian would probably tell you differently!  He thinks I have my nose stuck in my kindle all the time!

jab jab jabI started this book when we were at the beach on vacation!  Wish I was there again already!  I need to win the lottery!

I wasn’t as tired yesterday and didn’t even need a nap. That is a bonus in my book!

I hope you all have a fantastic Tuesday!  Are you reading anything good?  I’d love to hear about it!

Finding Me Again

I’ve been missing in action for some time.  Let me explain why.

I haven’t felt like myself for quite some time.   You probably already knew that.  This extreme fatigue just wouldn’t let go.   I have been to a couple of doctors and found that my hormones were out of whack, my adrenals were tired and my thyroid was acting out!  All those brats not doing the job I needed them to do. I’ve gained some weight and can’t get rid of it and I will need your support and motivation to keep me  on the healthy track to get it gone for good! I have been working with a wonderful health coach and she has got me on the right path.  I have changed my diet a couple of times, I had to add in animal protein again and I found that eating a whole egg every day is good for my body.  I found that I can not do the harder, extreme workouts that I loved.  There were some times when I couldn’t do any workouts and that was REALLY hard for me.  Not only do I love to do it, but that is my job.  So, it has been a difficult couple of years.

BUT, I am happy to report that I am starting to feel better.  I’m not at 100%, but I am feeling more like my old self, I have more energy.  I still can’t do those hard workouts and I have to take a nap most days, but things are looking up.  Stress plays a huge role in how I feel and I think things are settling down.  I got hit with a LOT in the last few years, but thankfully God had my back and held me up when I was down.  I am finding me again!

So many things have happened and if you follow me on facebook, twitter and instagram you probably know that Caroline is here and already one month old!  She is such a serious little sweet girl, but I am loving her up every chance I get!

Emma is 2 and so very busy.  She cracks me up, she is so funny.

Madelyn is almost 6 and will be starting school next week.  Oh my, how the time flies by!

Chase and Meredith moved back to Joplin and Chase has a new job.  Meredith got her respiratory therapist degree and will be going back to work part time after here maternity leave.

Nick and Lauren are working like crazy, still living in good ol’ CJ.

Jake started a new business and Morgan decided to become a Team Beachbody coach!

Brian is still doing real estate, making his beautiful bowls and woodworking, he got his new shop built and is loving it.

I am still a Team Beachbody coach and loving it. I’ve been doing 21 Day Fix, Piyo and just got Cize to try out too!  I’m still reading like crazy, I love it!   I got my office moved downstairs and I’m still trying to get organized in there.  It may never happen…

Brian’s dad moved in with us, my dad is healing and recovering nicely.  Mom had her surgery and is recovering and feeling better.  Marley is still hanging with us and tolerating us!  She probably thinks we are completely crazy, but loves us anyway!

I think you are all caught up and my goal is to be more active here and get back to doing my daily blog posts throughout the week.  I can’t make any promises, but I think I can do it!
