Catching Up, Again!

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve posted and there has been a lot that has gone on!  2015 was a challenging year for our family with many health related issues.  Luckily, most of those are on the mend and I feel like I have a little control back in my time and life.  This is a good thing!

We had a quiet New Year’s Eve, some friends own a photo booth and were set up at a local casino, so we went there after an early dinner.  Of course we had to take advantage of the photo booth fun!

As I posted during 2015, used my planner a lot and loved decorating it.  I continued that throughout the whole year.  I was pretty proud of myself for sticking with it and I found it to be a great stress reliever!  Last year I went with the Erin Condren Life Planner, while I loved it a LOT, I decided to go with the Happy Planner this year.  I got mine at Hobby Lobby and with using their weekly 40% off coupon, I was able t get it for $14.  It was so much cheaper than the Erin Condren, so I will see how I like it this year.  I know already I don’t like the binding as much.  I like that I can insert and remove pages much easier, but the coil is a LOT different.  This is the cover for now, I’m sure I’ll be changing it up throughout the year!

My workouts have been sporadic through the last half of 2015 due to my health.  I’m still not completely sure what is going on with me ( blood testing comes back normal), but I just don’t feel like myself.  I have constant fatigue and while I am having ups and downs now ( better than being tired ALL the time), I just can’t get this figured out.  We suspect stress is still playing a large role in this and my adrenals and thyroid are part of the problem.  So, I began a round of piyo on Jan 4.  As usual, I love working out with my friends and they keep me on track and motivated to keep going!!

My girls are getting so big!  Caroline is now 6 months old, Emma is 2 and Madelyn is 6.  Madelyn started kindergarten and she is so smart ( Nona’s are allowed to brag on their kids).  I just love to have them over and spend time with them.  They certainly are keeping me young and happy!

My plan is to post once a week and more if I have something interesting to say.  I’m going to add a tab for the books I read so you all can see what I’m up to on the literary front.  I’ve been reading a lot ( that is what happens when you can’t sleep all night) and have really enjoyed some books.  I’ll do a separate post for those if you are interested, just head over there and take a look!

Hope you are all having a wonderful 2016 so far!  Many blessing for each of you and thanks for hanging in there with me!

  1. Dana, I am so glad to see you back… I hope you figure out your health, we can inspire each other. I am just a happy camper that I can walk again… it will be slow going a mile here and there but I look forward to ramping it up this year and finally add the strength training in… Once I am back to myself, I want to do a step challenge xox
