It’s all about Shaun T!

Hey hey Hey!  It’s Tuesday!!!

FIT CLUB WORKOUT:

May is all about Shaun T.  Yesterday was his birthday and we are celebrating tonight with a Hip Hop Abs workout!  Get ready to have some fun!  Dance away those lbs and inches!!

The plan for May is Hip Hop Abs, Rockin’ Body, Insanity and Asylum.  One extreme to the other 🙂  I can not wait!

Looking at Shaun T certainly makes those workouts a little more fun!!

FIT CLUB RECIPE:

I’ve been having a lot of fun with my Shakeology lately.  Trying out some new recipes:

Twilight:
1 scoop chocolate shakeology
10 oz water ( I like mine thinner)
1 tsp vanilla
ice to taste

Cherry Monkey:
1 scoop chocolate shakeology
1/2 cup dark, sweet cherries ( I like to use frozen)
1/2 banana
8-10 oz water
splash of almond milk
ice to taste

Blueberry Dream Shakeology
1 scoop chocolate shakeology
8-10 oz water
splash of almond milk
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 banana
ice to taste

Shakeology Ice Cream
One of my favorites – recipe from Mike and Tami French:

1/2 cup water
1/2 cup almond milk
1/4 cup coconut milk ( or mimic creme)
1 tsp natural peanut butter or 2 tbsp PB2
2 scoops protein powder (vanilla, I love Sun Warrior brown rice protein)
1 scoop chocolate Shakeology

Mix for a few seconds and then add a lot of ice to make it thick like soft serve ice cream.  When it is the thickness you like, scoop into a bowl and top with shredded coconut, sliced almonds or even a crunched up protein bar!

Agua Fresca – The Homesteader’s Kitchen Recipes: From Farm to Table by Robin Burnside

Makes 3 quats

3 quarts water
1 lemon, sliced
1 lime, sliced
1 orange, sliced
1 cucumber, sliced and peeled if not organic

Place all ingredients into a gallon jar.  cover and cool for at least an hour to bring out the subtle flavors.  Pour over ice if desired.

I didn’t feel very good over the weekend, so I didn’t get my workout done on Sat. I am feeling better and just finished Rockin Abs. I really like this one. It has a good cardio session and then we moved to the floor and did some really hard ab work. The plank and drill extreme are hard, but so effective.

I’m going to try and get Ho Ala Ke Kino in this afternoon. I have a lot of work to do, not sure if I’ll get it done or not. Planning on it though. When I get it done, I’ll be sure to post about it.

I just finished Hip Hop Abs Sculpt 2. This one got me sweating!! I used the weighted hand gloves again. I love the Boom Slide and those plank moves are killer!!

This is the second level of the Hip Hop Abs Series. I think that it is better than the first one. I got more of a workout. It has 20 mins of cardio abs and then 8 mins of floor work and then a cool down and stretch.

This video includes 1224 ab moves and 32 squats and 48 lunges.

I had a fun day yesterday. My friend and I went to Tulsa and met my parents. My mom got great news about her liver disease. YEAH!!!! We had a nice lunch and went to Whole Foods! I so wish we had a Whole Foods closer to home. I love having such great produce. I got the best honeycrisp apples. I know that I should have bought more, they are almost gone already. We had thunderstorms last night and tornado warnings. Strange for this time of year, but it has been so warm. I have been trying to get out and enjoy the weather for a little each day. I know that it will cool off before too long. I’m not ready for that.

Tomorrow is Booty Sculpt and the Booty Sculpt Challenge. I love the Dance Party Series of Hip Hop Abs. Probably my favorite ones of all the Hip Hop Abs.
